About the Role The Adjunct Instructor will teach Philosophy within the Department of Humanities, contributing to interdisciplinary teaching and employing instructional technologies to support student learning. Positions are continuously recruited on a rolling basis and are filled as vacancies arise. What You'll Do
- Teach lecture courses in Philosophy for the Department of Humanities; assignments may be in-person, online, or both.
- Teach one or more course sections for a given semester based on department needs.
- Use instructional technologies to support classroom activities and student learning.
- Collaborate with faculty and maintain a commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence. What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in the teaching discipline, or Master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline); demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching; related work experiences or credentials; established record of teaching excellence and leadership; at least two years of work experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in the teaching discipline; 1-2 years teaching experience at the undergraduate level. Nice to Have
