Scope

The Department of Mathematics & Physics in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Physics. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Physics will be considered.

Principal Responsibilities

This individual will serve as the instructor of record for introductory Physics lecture courses, laboratories, or other courses as assigned. Typical assignments include one or two courses each semester, depending on student demand.

Required Skills

  • The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Physics courses are encouraged to apply.

  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Physics or or 18 hours graduate coursework in Physics is required. Those with a doctorate in Physics and experience teaching Physics at the university level are encouraged to apply.
