Job title: Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics
About the Role The Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics will teach college mathematics courses and corequisite academic skills classes during the traditional working day on the main campus. This position supports student learning within Carson-Newman’s Christian, liberal arts environment and reports to the Chair of Mathematics and Computer Science.
What You'll Do
- Teaches undergraduate mathematics courses.
- Teaches corequisite academic skills classes.
- Aligns instruction with the mission and expectations of a Christian, liberal arts university, delivering quality education during the traditional daytime on the main campus.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Must have at least a master’s degree in a mathematical science; other degrees with relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience: Teaching experience required.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to teach students who may have gaps in their mathematical knowledge.
- Commitment: Willingness to support Carson-Newman’s Christian mission and values in academic instruction.
