About the Role North Central College invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. The College lists courses including Object-oriented Programming (C++), Introduction to Programming (Python), Computer and Network Security, and Intro to Website Development (HTML & CSS), with opportunities to teach any of the listed subjects on an ongoing, per-course basis. This is a part-time adjunct role within the College of Arts & Sciences.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses on a per-course, part-time basis in the CS&E program.
- Develop and deliver course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments.
- Provide student feedback and help maintain learning outcomes aligned with the program.
- Collaborate with the department to ensure quality and consistency across courses and offerings.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree or significant industry experience in computing.
- College-level teaching experience preferred.
- Knowledge of listed subjects: C++, Python, Java, HTML & CSS, computer security, data structures, databases, data mining, machine learning, and related CS topics.
- Ability to teach courses on an ongoing basis in a per-course adjunct capacity.
