About the Role The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University invites applications for a part-time adjunct instructor position in Chemistry. The instructor of record will teach introductory chemistry courses, organic chemistry laboratory courses, or other courses as assigned, typically teaching one to two courses per semester depending on student demand.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the instructor of record for introductory chemistry courses, organic chemistry laboratory courses, or other courses as assigned.
- Typically teach one to two courses per semester, depending on student demand.
- Mentor students inside and outside the classroom and contribute to student success.
- Collaborate with Department Chair and colleagues to maintain course standards.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Chemistry or 18 hours of graduate coursework in Chemistry; those with a doctorate in Chemistry and university level teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor students.
- Experience teaching undergraduate introductory Chemistry courses is encouraged.
