About the Role WSU's CHEH is accepting applications for adjunct teaching positions in Human Services and Social Work for Fall 2026 – Summer 2027. Appointments may be at the ranks from adjunct instructor to adjunct professor. Social Work requires MSW and three years of practice experience; teaching may include didactics, clinical and/or simulation experiences; modalities may be in-person or online, with the opportunity for varied modalities in the fall to summer terms.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver instruction in Human Services and Social Work through didactics, clinical and/or simulation experiences.
  • Adapt teaching to in-person and online formats, including synchronous and asynchronous modalities.
  • Support student learning and contribute to program goals in alignment with CHEH's mission.

What We're Looking For

  • Professional experience or academic qualifications in the subject matter taught within the College of Health, Education and Human Services.
  • An academic degree at least one level above the level taught; for terminal degree programs, the same level of degree is required.
  • If teaching outside the advanced degree field, at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching field.
  • At least 1 year of professional or teaching experience, unless program-specific qualifications indicate otherwise.
  • Commitment to integrating diversity into all aspects of the programs.
  • Social Work applicants: MSW and three years of practice experience.

  • Salary: Minimum annual or hourly rate not disclosed.
