About the Role
The College for Creative Studies seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Understanding AI on Mondays from 12:45–3:30 during Winter 2027. This in-person course aims to develop critical engagement with AI, including identifying bias and evaluating outputs within ethical, legal, and social contexts. Teaching experience at the college/university level and proficiency with Canvas or similar LMS are essential.
What You'll Do

Deliver in-person instruction for assigned course sections.

Maintain scheduled office hours (minimum one hour per week per course).

Evaluate and grade student work promptly and in accordance with institutional timelines.

Respond to student inquiries promptly.

Develop and submit the course syllabus for departmental approval by deadlines.

Use Canvas for course delivery and communication as required by the department and college.

Handle administrative responsibilities and comply with institutional policies including FERPA, academic integrity, and Title IX.

What We're Looking For

Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours (normally required).

College-level teaching experience.

Experience with Canvas or other LMS.

Experience teaching diverse student populations.

Ability to teach Understanding AI or nearby topics; on-campus teaching; commitment to professional conduct per institutional policies.
