About the Role New England College seeks experienced adjunct faculty to teach Typography II, Functionality as part of its Graphic Design curriculum. The available upper-level course will run in Spring 2026 during the second seven-week session, with students building on Typography I. The position is digitally oriented and requires proficiency with industry tools on Mac OS. What You'll Do
- Teach the Typography II, Functionality course to upper-level Graphic Design students, focusing on the role of typography and the relationship between type and image in contemporary design.
- Guide class discussions, projects and critiques, emphasizing text type, typographic structure and hierarchy.
- Instruct students in advanced type-setting techniques using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign on Mac OS to develop professional-grade work. What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching college-level Graphic Design or related courses.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Mac OS; this is a digitally-oriented class.
- Understanding of typography, text type, typographic structure and hierarchy.
- Availability for the Spring 2026 second seven-week session. Nice to Have
