About the Role Regent University’s School of Education is seeking adjunct faculty to chair dissertations for doctoral candidates across all concentrations enrolled in the Doctor of Education and Doctor of Philosophy programs. Chairs supervise dissertation research, provide guidance, and ensure adherence to the Dissertation Handbook throughout the process.

What You'll Do

• Chair dissertations for doctoral candidates across all concentrations and programs.
• Review candidates' manuscripts within two weeks and provide practical, constructive feedback.
• Respond to student emails within 24 hours on weekdays.
• Ensure compliance with Dissertation Handbook policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with candidates and the School of Education to support successful completion of the dissertation journey.

What We're Looking For

• Ed.D. or Ph.D. in Education from an accredited institution.
• Completed a traditional qualitative or quantitative dissertation.
• Prior experience as a dissertation chair or committee member.
• Demonstrated experience in qualitative or quantitative research methods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in APA 7th edition.
• Expertise in Microsoft Word; familiarity with Canvas or Blackboard and general internet proficiency.

• Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses; facility with online instructional technology.
• Willingness to embrace the College and University identity and the Statement of Christian Faith.
• Preference for ongoing contributions to the field (peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations).
• Preference for experience teaching research methods using Canvas or Blackboard.
• Commitment to responsiveness and doctoral candidate support.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100 per credit hour per student, up to $3,000 per course.
• Benefits: Not eligible for benefits.
