Job Description Summary

Adjunct faculty member to teach one or more classes in the Respiratory Therapy program for the St. Augustine site.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to model the University’s Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission as a Catholic and Lasallian institution of higher education.

• Teach one or more classes in a designated area

• Monitor the quality of laboratory equipment and replace or repair any defective items

• Set up the laboratory facility in preparation for a lab experience

• Assist students in performing the necessary skills being taught during the session

• Evaluate students’ capability to demonstrate the skill being taught.

• Minimum Qualifications

• BS (preferably in respiratory therapy)

• RRT credentials from the AZNational Board of Respiratory Care

• Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience (preferably in a critical care setting)

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a preceptor or clinical educator

• Teaching experience as a clinical and/or faculty instructor in a respiratory therapy program

• Essential Duties

• Part-time; as needed basis;; approximately 7 hours per week
