The Department of Psychology is seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach courses in the Spring 2027 semester which runs from 1/25/27 to 5/15/27. Instructors are needed to teach courses in the following areas: Introduction to Psychology laboratory, undergraduate statistics, graduate statistics, psychology and the law, lifespan development, and related courses. Successful applicants will demonstrate background training in the course relevant topic. For statistics, applicants must provide evidence of skills in that area.
Psychology is one of the largest undergraduate majors at Hofstra. The Psychology department also administers the following graduate programs: Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, PsyD. in School-Community Psychology, MA in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, and Ph.D. in Applied Organizational Psychology.
Qualifications
Applicants are expected to have:

Completed a Master’s degree

Successful applicants will demonstrate background training in the course relevant topic.

Salary/Salary Range $1,750-$2,050 per credit hour

Hofstra University provides the above salary as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
