About the Role Regent University’s College of Healthcare & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach online in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program, with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) coursework. The role is part-time and compensated per credit hour, supporting a faith-based environment committed to academic excellence and global influence. The instructor must hold a DNP or PhD in Nursing with PMHNP certification and provide Christ-centered instruction.
What You'll Do
- Teach PMHNP courses online within the MSN program.
- Deliver instruction using online platforms and maintain course quality and student engagement.
- Evaluate student work, provide timely feedback, and contribute to determining student outcomes.
- Collaborate with program leadership to align course content with the College and University Mission.
- Demonstrate and uphold Christ-centered teaching and learning practices in the classroom.
What We're Looking For
- Earned DNP or PhD in Nursing; current or eligible state licensure without restrictions.
- PMHNP certification required.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience.
- Prior teaching experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to teach undergraduate-level nursing courses.
- Proficiency with online instructional technology.
- Commitment to the College and University Identity and Mission statements and to a statement of Christian faith.
Nice to Have
- Prior teaching experience (preferred).
- Experience teaching online and/or across multiple nursing courses.
- Demonstrated potential for academic scholarship.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100 per credit hour per student, up to $3,000 per course.
- Benefits: Not eligible for benefits.
