The School of Nursing at St. Catherine University invites applications for adjunct nursing faculty.

St. Catherine University nursing faculty educate students to develop the knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism they will need to be compassionate and successful nurses and leaders. Our nursing programs and curricula are delivered in an environment that embraces diversity, social justice, interprofessional education, and the liberal arts. Our baccalaureate programs integrate holistic nursing and are endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation. Our MSN: Entry-Level program prepares entry-level nurses (RNs) to become certified nurse leaders (CNLs).

We hire ahead of each academic term.

• February-March applicants for Summer and/or Fall Term
• August applicants for Spring Term

Responsibilities may include:

• Didactic (classroom) instruction
• Clinical teaching and supervision
• Simulation or lab teaching

All faculty:

• Monitor and assess student-learning outcomes and provide timely feedback to students on academic performance.
• Collaborate with faculty to deliver high-quality instruction.

Clinical adjunct faculty must meet compliance requirements, including:

• Tdap
• MMR (or demonstrated immunity)
• Hepatitis B
• Varicella (or demonstrated immunity)
• Annual TB test
• Annual Influenza
• CPR for healthcare provider

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing for clinical instruction opportunities.
• Licensed and unencumbered registered nurse in the State of Minnesota.
• Two years of direct or indirect practice experience in an area of specialization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Nursing
• Teaching experience

Compensation: $5,150 per course load (varies based on teaching assignment)

The salary range listed reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably anticipate paying for this position, based on market data and internal equity, at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, and other relevant factors. St. Catherine reserves the right to modify or adjust compensation depending on University needs.

Salary Examples:

• Teaching 12 clinical shifts (inclusive of grading, onboarding, etc.): $5665
• Teaching 8 clinical shifts (inclusive of grading, onboarding, etc.): $4120
