About the Role McMurry University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to support instructional needs across academic programs. This posting serves to build a pool of qualified candidates for part-time, temporary teaching assignments on a course-by-course basis, depending on departmental needs, enrollment, and funding. Selected candidates may teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in their area of expertise, in-person, online, or hybrid formats.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses in alignment with approved curriculum and learning outcomes
- Prepare course materials, syllabi, and instructional content
- Engage students through effective teaching strategies and timely communication
- Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and course activities
- Adhere to university policies and academic standards
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a related field (minimum 18 graduate hours in the discipline)
- Relevant professional or teaching experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior college-level teaching experience
- Experience with online or hybrid instruction
- Terminal degree in the discipline (where applicable)
