About the Role
LIU is seeking an adjunct (non-tenure track) instructor to teach Pharm D-level courses in the pharmacy practice division for the Spring 2025 semester. The role requires specialized knowledge of Pharmacy Practice and experience teaching in related fields. The instructor will develop lectures and course materials, manage the Brightspace course webpage, and provide student support.
What You'll Do
- Teach PharmD-level courses in the Pharmacy Practice division for the Spring 2025 semester.
- Write lectures and prepare a syllabus outlining course objectives, content, and a testing/grading plan.
- Maintain a Brightspace course webpage and upload student handouts to Brightspace.
- Conduct one 3-hour in-person class session per week for 14 weeks.
- Be available for weekly office hours to assist students.
What We're Looking For
- Specialized knowledge of and/or experience teaching in Pharmacy Practice.
- Experience teaching PharmD-level courses or related fields.
- Ability to develop lectures, syllabi, and assessment plans.
- Proficiency with Brightspace or willingness to manage an online course page.
- Excellent communication and student support skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $1,000-$1,350 per credit.
