About the Role
Adjunct faculty will teach courses in the Master's in Community Based Education & Leadership program through Stevenson University Online, in accordance with the university's workload policies. What You'll Do
- Teach courses in the Master’s in Community Based Education & Leadership program (online, hybrid, or in-person as assigned) and in accordance with faculty workload policies.
- Maintain subject competence, prepare teaching materials, and confer with students on course materials.
- Direct individual and group studies, review examinations and papers, evaluate presentations and projects, and provide academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
- Prepare syllabi, respond to emails promptly, grade coursework within required timeframes, submit mid-term and final grades, attendance verification, and other reports as requested.
- Complete required training and engage in professional development; uphold collegiality and professional/ethical conduct; communicate with students, administrators, and colleagues.
- Ensure online courses are current and aligned with program policies and learning outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in a field related to the teaching assignment; experience teaching and/or working in community-based organizations; university-level teaching experience preferred; online teaching experience preferred.
- Expertise in a specific subject area related to assigned coursework; ability to work as part of a team, lead small groups, and manage projects.
- Proficiency with information technologies and online resources; experience with Blackboard or a similar LMS; proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; ability to work evenings and weekends as needed; ability to instruct students of varying preparation and abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural competency skills; commitment to inclusive pedagogy and diversity; student-centered approach and ability to assess learning.
- Commitment to integrity, excellence, learning, and community; well-developed organizational, reasoning, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage time and work with colleagues.
Nice to Have
- Teaching at the university level and online teaching experience are preferred.

- Salary range not disclosed. This is an adjunct, part-time position with variable months per year and workload based on courses scheduled.
