Job title: Adjunct Faculty, Management

About the Role Gettysburg College's Department of Management invites applications for an Adjunct Faculty position to teach one section of the undergraduate course MGT 321 Topics in Operations Management. The course introduces models and theories of operations management used in manufacturing and service industries, with a focus on analyzing current process management issues and applying quantitative and qualitative techniques to improve operations in terms of quality, cost, and customer response. The course meetings are scheduled Monday-Wednesday-Friday from 12:00PM-12:50PM.

What You'll Do

  • Teach one section of MGT 321 Topics in Operations Management to undergraduate students.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments aligned with the course description.
  • Evaluate student learning and provide timely feedback, and maintain and update course materials.
  • Collaborate with the Department of Management to ensure alignment with department standards and scheduling.

What We're Looking For

  • A relevant (e.g., Business, Decision Sciences) academic and/or professional background is required.
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Undergraduate teaching experience is preferred.
