About the Role LIU Post seeks an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Management to teach in undergraduate and possibly graduate programs. This part-time, on-campus role supports strong pre-professional training within a liberal arts framework and contributes to an on-site studio and classroom environment. What You'll Do
- Teach courses within the Department of Theatre, Dance, and Arts Management on campus at LIU Post.
- Develop and deliver curriculum, assignments, and assessments aligned with program goals; mentor and advise students.
- Collaborate with faculty and industry professionals to provide cutting-edge, physically based theatre training.
- Participate in program activities, student mentoring, and departmental service as needed. What We're Looking For
- Ph.D. or MFA degree with exceptional professional experience; five years of undergraduate and graduate teaching experience.
- Extensive professional and academic background; college-level teaching experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a program based in physical theatre and cutting-edge training; strong leadership, oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Suzuki method and its intersection with other acting methodologies; comfortable in an environment that blends theory and practice. Nice to Have
- Notable professional and academic achievements; experience with physical theatre, production, design, or arts management is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with a diverse student body and contribute to program development. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $1,000 - $1,350 per credit.
