About the Role Belmont Abbey College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position to teach a daytime introductory biology course in Fall 2026. The course is a non-majors course that meets part of the College's core curriculum and supports the Catholic and Benedictine educational mission.
What You'll Do
- Teach the daytime introductory biology course for non-majors in Fall 2026.
- Prepare lectures, assignments, and assessments; maintain course materials in alignment with core curriculum.
- Provide timely feedback to students and support diverse learners.
- Collaborate with the Biology & Biochemistry Department and participate in the academic community.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of a Master's degree in Biology.
- Prior college teaching experience (preferred).
- Understanding and embracing the responsibility of supporting the College's Catholic identity and Benedictine educational vision.
- Ability to teach introductory biology to non-majors.
Nice to Have
- Additional teaching experience in biology or related lab courses (preferred).
- Familiarity with Belmont Abbey College's Catholic identity and Benedictine ethos.
