Description

  • The Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Hofstra University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Systems and Business Analytics.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Teaching courses such as Introduction to Information Systems, Introduction to Business Statistics, Statistical Data Analytics for Business, Java Programming, IT Project Management, Cybersecurity Technologies and Infrastructure, Cyber Attack and Prevention Strategies

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree in IS/MIS, statistics, or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited institution

  • Preferred Quals Summary

  • Ability to teach during daytime hours.

  • Relevant teaching or industry experience

  • Current enrollment in a doctoral program in a related field

Salary/Salary Range

$1,458-$1,839 per credit hour

Hofstra University provides the above salary as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
