Job title: Adjunct Faculty - Film, Television, and Media Arts
About the Role We are seeking experienced film and television professionals to join our adjunct faculty in the Department of Film & Media Arts. The role supports undergraduate and graduate teaching in-person on campus and online, contributing to a Christ-centered learning community and mentoring the next generation of Christian storytellers.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Directing, Producing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Editing, and related areas.
- Deliver courses on-campus and online, using online instructional technology.
- Develop and assess syllabi, assignments, and student outcomes; provide timely feedback.
- Mentor students and contribute to a faith-based learning environment consistent with Regent's mission.
- Maintain active professional credentials and industry connections to inform coursework.
What We're Looking For
- Professional experience in one or more of: Directing, Producing, Cinematography, Screenwriting, Film History & Aesthetics, Business of Film & Television, Television Multi-Camera Production, Editing.
- Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses and potentially graduate courses.
- Depth of industry experience and a passion for mentoring Christian storytellers.
- Facility with online instructional technology and willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements and a statement of Christian faith.
- Evidence of or potential for academic scholarship.
Nice to Have
- Background across narrative features, documentary, episodic television, or commercials; willingness to teach across related disciplines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100 per credit hour per student, up to $3,000 per course (USD).
- Part-time adjunct appointment; on-campus and online teaching opportunities.
- Regent University does not offer benefits for adjunct/part-time staff.
