About the Role WAU's Department of English seeks adjunct faculty to teach day and evening classes as enrollment requires. The role may include courses such as ENGL 101A (Composition Lab), ENGL 101 (Composition), ENGL 102 (Research and Literature), and ENWR 235 (Technical Writing).
What You'll Do
- Teach course content for majors and non-majors using lectures, demonstrations, class discussion, and other appropriate delivery methods that promote learning and the development of relevant skills
- Prepare a daily syllabus and develop course and lesson plans
- Meet for at least one conference with each student; attend up to three composition program meetings; attend a play with assigned class (ticket provided)
- Track attendance and post the syllabus and any other shared class documents in the Course Management System
