Job title: Adjunct Faculty - Computer Engineering
About the Role Regent University’s College of Arts & Sciences is seeking an adjunct faculty member to join the Engineering & Computer Science Department. This part-time role involves teaching online undergraduate courses and requires expertise in computer hardware, cybersecurity, machine learning, or artificial intelligence; a PhD is preferred but a master's in CS/CE/EE will be considered.
What You'll Do
- Deliver online instruction for courses in Computer Engineering at all levels.
- Plan and implement course material using online instructional technology and align with Christ-centered teaching and learning.
- Demonstrate leadership, teaching excellence, professional engagement, and effective English communication; work independently within established principles.
- Collaborate with the department to uphold the College and University Identity and Mission statements.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a focus in computer hardware, cybersecurity, machine learning, or artificial intelligence (PhD preferred).
- Prior college teaching experience preferred; proficiency with online instructional technology.
- Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses online; strong communication and interpersonal skills; willingness to carry out highly detailed work; independence.
- Willingness to embrace Christ-centered teaching and learning; familiarity with online instructional technology; commitment to the College/University Identity and Mission and to a statement of Christian faith.
Nice to Have
- PhD in one of the aforementioned areas of focus (preferred).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100 per credit hour per student, up to $3,000 per course. Not benefits eligible.
