Job title: Adjunct Faculty- Art and Music
Mercy University seeks part-time adjunct instructors in the Communication and the Arts Department to teach general education courses for undergraduate students, with emphasis in Music and Art. Successful candidates may teach up to three sections per semester; commitment to inclusive excellence is required. Candidates may assist with program assessment and development and attend select meetings. Schedule includes day and evening opportunities; locations include Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, Bronx campuses or online.
Teach general education courses to undergraduates, with potential emphasis in Music and Art; may teach up to three sections of any course per semester. Contribute to program assessment and development; attend programmatic or professional development meetings as needed. Adapt instruction to diverse student populations and maintain inclusive excellence in teaching.
Master's or Doctorate from an accredited institution in an appropriate academic discipline. Demonstrated experience teaching general education, Communication, Media, Music or Arts courses at the college level. Ability to work day and evening schedules; willingness to teach at multiple campuses or online.
Experience with program assessment and curriculum development (optional as per posting).
