Adjunct Faculty - Applied Music (Voice)
Position Summary
Simpson College is seeking qualified and passionate educators for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Applied Music. We are currently hiring specialists in voice to provide individualized and/or group instruction to music majors and non-majors. These positions are ideal for professional musicians and educators who are committed to student success and artistic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide applied instruction in voice for majors and non-majors
- Prepare and deliver course materials, including syllabi
- Evaluate student progress through performances, assignments, and assessments
- Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to students
- Participate in departmental juries and recitals
- Maintain professional standards in teaching and musicianship
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Music or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Demonstrated expertise in vocal performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
Preferred Qualifications:
- College-level teaching experience
- Active performance career or professional experience in art song and opera, with familiarity with musical theatre
- Familiarity with digital tools for music instruction
