About the Role Regent University’s Department of Film & Media Arts is seeking experienced animation and digital media professionals to join our adjunct faculty pool. These teaching opportunities are for undergraduate courses on Regent’s Virginia Beach campus; we value industry experience and a passion for mentoring the next generation of Christian storytellers. You may be selected to teach in areas across animation and motion design based on campus needs and your expertise. What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate-level courses in animation, motion design, and related disciplines on campus in Virginia Beach.
- Contribute to curriculum development, studio instruction, and assessment aligned with the School of Communications & the Arts’ mission.
- Mentor students, foster Christ-centered teaching and learning, and engage with online instructional technology as needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain program quality and stay current with industry practices. What We're Looking For
- Professional experience in one or more of the listed areas (2D/3D Animation, Character Animation, Storyboarding, Visual Development, Motion Design, VFX, etc.).
- Ability to teach undergraduate-level courses and a dedication to Christ-centered teaching.
- Demonstrated or potential scholarly activity and willingness to embrace the College and University Identity and Mission statements.
- Comfort with online instructional technology and online/face-to-face teaching formats. Nice to Have
- Depth of industry experience across feature animation, television, motion graphics, visual effects, game cinematics, virtual production, or related fields.
- A genuine passion for mentoring the next generation of Christian storytellers. Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $100 per credit hour or student, up to $3,000 per course (USD).
- Regent University does not offer benefits for adjunct faculty.
