About the Role The University of Scranton is seeking a range of adjunct and staff hires across multiple departments to teach, assist, and support on-campus courses and programs. Positions are typically on an as-needed, per-semester basis and require on-site work in Scranton, PA. Immigration sponsorship will not be offered. What You'll Do
- Instruct one or more courses or labs each semester in departments such as Speech-Language Pathology, Philosophy, Physical Therapy, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, Sociology, Bible and Theology, or related areas.
- Support faculty in laboratory settings and service programs (e.g., DPT labs, SBDC Business Assistance Service Centers).
- Provide administrative or public-safety support on campus (e.g., Shuttle Bus Driver, Police Services) as applicable.
- Engage with Jesuit and Catholic mission and identity of the University in teaching and service. What We're Looking For
- Eligibility to work for any employer in the U.S. (no immigration sponsorship).
- Willingness to teach or assist across assigned courses or labs on campus; able to work on-site in Scranton, PA.
- Demonstrated grounding in the subject area (e.g., SLP courses, philosophy, health sciences, political science, criminal justice, theology, etc.) and alignment with the University’s mission.
- Availability for per-semester appointments; ability to work on a flexible schedule as needed. Nice to Have
- Subject-matter expertise or professional experience in the listed disciplines and readiness to teach in a synchronous/as-needed format.
- Experience with laboratory settings, clinical coursework, or community outreach. Compensation & Benefits
- Pay details vary by position; a sample rate mentioned for a Shuttle Bus Driver is $25.00 per hour.
