About the Role Kentucky Christian University is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in-person science courses, specifically Algebra-based Physics (with Lab) and Physical Science (with Lab). This is an ongoing need and instructors report to the Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences. What You'll Do

  • Teach, guide, and evaluate students enrolled in assigned course(s).
  • Assist in developing, instructing, evaluating, and revising assigned course(s) to enhance educational quality.
  • Work collaboratively with the faculty and the Dean of the School of Humanities and Sciences.
  • Be available to students outside the formal classroom setting to clarify content and respond to student concerns.
  • Serve in an advisory role to the School of Humanities and Sciences in the ongoing efforts to improve quality.
  • Maintain and comply with all policies, rules, and regulations outlined in the Kentucky Christian University Faculty Handbook. What We're Looking For
  • Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent in quarter hours) in the teaching field.
  • Alignment with the University mission and core values; willingness to sign Kentucky Christian University’s Covenant of Faith.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a self-starter with strong work ethic and ownership of area of responsibility.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units, compute rates/percentages/ratios, read and comprehend detailed documents, write complex correspondence, and present information in various settings.
  • Additional abilities: follow written or oral instructions; define problems and make independent decisions with minimal supervision; use computer technology at least elementary to intermediate level; manual dexterity; lift up to 10 pounds; learn essential functions within three months; maintain confidentiality.
  • Ergonomic/physical requirements: ability to sit, stand, reach, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform similar movements; ability to perform these movements without significant risk.
  • Conditions of Employment: the successful candidate shall enthusiastically support the University’s tenets of faith and demonstrate spiritual maturity; contracted employee with appointment length varying. Compensation & Benefits
