About the Role
Wright State University’s Lake Campus in Celina, Ohio seeks adjunct instructors for Mechanical Engineering for the 2026-2027 academic year. The position is part-time and focuses on teaching responsibilities, with opportunities for online synchronous and asynchronous courses where offered.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned Mechanical Engineering courses at the Lake Campus (Celina) for Fall 2026 through Summer 2027.
- Deliver instruction in-person and, when offered, online synchronous or asynchronous courses.
- Develop and adapt course materials and assessments to meet program standards and student needs.
- Collaborate with department colleagues and participate in routine teaching-related activities as assigned.
What We're Looking For

Professional experience or academic qualifications in Mechanical Engineering covering the subject matter.

An academic degree at least one level above the teaching level, with exceptions for terminal degree programs or when equivalent experience is established.

If teaching outside the field of the advanced degree, at least 18 graduate level credit hours of instruction in the field.

At least 1 year of professional or teaching experience.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. with at least 3 years of professional or teaching experience.
