About the Role
The Department of Electrical Engineering at Wright State University is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach Electrical Engineering courses. Positions range from adjunct instructor through adjunct professor, with 100% teaching responsibilities as assigned. Some online synchronous and asynchronous course opportunities may be available.
What You'll Do
- Teach Electrical Engineering courses as assigned within the department (100% teaching time).
- Contribute to course development and delivery, with potential online delivery options for synchronous or asynchronous sessions.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Qualifications: Professional experience or academic qualifications covering subject matter taught within the Electrical Engineering department.
- Possess an academic degree one level above the level at which they will teach, except in programs for terminal degrees or when equivalent experience is established. In terminal degree programs, adjunct faculty must possess the same level of degree.
- If teaching outside the field of their advanced degree, adjuncts must have completed at least 18 graduate level credit hours of instruction in the field where they teach.
- At least 1 year professional or teaching experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. with at least 3 years professional or teaching experience.
