Job title: Adjunct - Business Law (Fall 2026 - Summer 2027)
About the Role Wright State University's Raj Soin College of Business, School of Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Management is seeking adjunct instructors for the 2026-2027 academic year to teach Law 4300 – Legal Aspects of the Workplace and/or MBA 5400-90 – Survey of Business Law. The adjunct will deliver course content, evaluate student work, and maintain records, with a 100% teaching load as part of adjunct duties.
What You'll Do
- Teach assigned courses (Law 4300 and/or MBA 5400-90) in accordance with the catalog description and approved course outline.
- Prepare and deliver course syllabus; assess and grade assignments, participation, and exams in a timely manner per SCMM policies.
- Maintain accurate student records, provide regular office hours, and respond to email inquiries promptly.
- Adhere to university policies and uphold professional conduct and ethics; participate in ongoing professional development; perform other duties as assigned by contract and/or the Raj Soin College of Business.
What We're Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Prior experience teaching business law or related field.
- Education level: possess an academic degree one level above the level you will teach, except for terminal degree programs; for terminal programs, must possess the same level of degree.
- If teaching outside field of advanced degree, must have completed at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in the field.
- At least 1 year of professional or teaching experience.
- Current work activities must demonstrate practitioner status consistent with AACSB qualifications for business faculty.
Nice to Have
- Teaching experience preferred.
- Professional certifications and other professional development experience; prior teaching at AACSB-accredited business school.
