About the Role Actuarial Consulting Manager (Life) in EY’s Financial Services Office in Bermuda. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams and lead client engagements in Life, often across borders (UK, Europe, US). The role involves mentoring staff, delivering high-quality work, and building your personal brand within EY while helping clients navigate life insurance/reinsurance challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Lead client engagement teams in the Life area, covering Financial Reporting, Risk Management, Actuarial Transformation, Financial Modelling, Mergers and Acquisitions, Audit Support / Approved Actuary, Capital optimisation, Investment advisory, New business start-up services, IFRS 17.
  • Work closely with EY teams around the UK, Europe and the US to deliver cross-border engagements.
  • Mentor and develop team members, build your personal brand, and manage client relationships.
  • Drive high-quality work products within time and budget, monitor progress, manage risk, and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks; stay abreast of industry trends.
  • Collaborate with EY teams across practices to serve client needs and demonstrate deep technical capabilities, adapting quickly to new knowledge.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related major.
  • Minimum five years of actuarial experience; actuarial consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively pursuing a professional actuarial designation (IFoA, SOA, or equivalent) with at least five exams completed.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and actuarial-related software/tools.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, and capability to work both collaboratively and independently under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel and ability to adapt to changing projects; some managerial experience including leading teams across projects.
  • Ability to deliver proposals and contribute to strategic discussions at senior management levels.

Nice to Have

  • Prior consulting experience with business development, sales and account management skills.
