About the Role For our HYDRO Hydropower business area in Weiz, we are seeking an Acitve Parts Design Engineer (m/f/d) for Hydro Generators to join the Mechanical Engineering department on a full-time basis. This role focuses on the design and development of active parts of rotating electrical machines and supports project execution within our global engineering team.
What You'll Do
- Create and develop 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications for active parts of rotating electrical machines
- Support the Senior Design Engineer in technical project execution
- Prepare for and participate in design reviews
- Provide technical support to Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Assembly, and Commissioning
- Participate in regular internal design meetings to coordinate project-related engineering decisions
- Contribute to continuous knowledge transfer within the team
What We're Looking For
- Completed technical education (HTL or equivalent)
- Several years of professional experience in design engineering
- Knowledge of generators (advantage)
- Experience in technical drafting
- Strong CAD skills, ideally with Siemens NX
- SAP knowledge beneficial
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken
- High level of initiative
- Strong communication skills
- Independent and well-organized working style
Nice to Have
- Siemens NX experience (preferred)
- Experience with active parts of rotating electrical machines (advantage)
