Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a high-volume environment on a project basis. This Contract position offers a flexible 32-hour, four-day workweek with hybrid flexibility depending on the candidate’s experience with Sage Intacct. The person in this role will focus on accurately identifying and applying incoming payments from multiple banking sources while helping maintain organized and reliable receivables records.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming receipts from several bank accounts and determine the correct customer invoices for application

• Reconcile a large volume of deposits, including credit card and check payments, with accuracy and consistency

• Investigate payment details carefully to resolve unmatched transactions and ensure funds are posted correctly

• Process cash applications within Sage Intacct while maintaining complete and up-to-date accounts receivable records

• Support backlog reduction efforts by working through approximately 1,000 deposits requiring matching and verification

• Coordinate internally as needed to clarify payment information, without direct vendor communication responsibilities

• Prior experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or billing support roles

• Hands-on proficiency with Sage Intacct is required

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to research and match payments accurately

• Comfortable managing high-volume transaction work within tight timelines

• Experience handling deposits received through multiple payment methods, including checks and credit cards

• Ability to work independently in either a remote or onsite setting

• Solid organizational skills and a dependable approach to maintaining accurate financial records
