Accounts Receivable Clerk
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join a service-focused organization in Daytona Beach, Florida on a contract-to-permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining accurate receivables, following through on outstanding balances, and supporting steady cash flow through organized billing and payment activity. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while working with internal teams and customers to resolve account issues efficiently.
Responsibilities

Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on schedule to support timely payment processing.

Record incoming payments, apply cash receipts to the appropriate customer accounts, and investigate any discrepancies.

Monitor aged receivables and conduct commercial collections in a thorough manner to reduce past-due balances.

Reconcile account activity by reviewing payment history, open items, and unapplied cash to maintain accurate records.

Communicate with customers and internal departments to resolve billing questions, short payments, and account variances.

Maintain organized documentation related to invoices, payment activity, and collection efforts for audit and reporting purposes.

Assist with updating receivables data and support accounting workflows as processes move from Sage MAS500 to QuickBooks Desktop.

Experience handling accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, payment posting, and account follow-up.

Background in commercial collections with the ability to manage customer communications professionally and effectively.

Working knowledge of cash application and cash receipt processing within an accounting environment.

Ability to review account details carefully and identify discrepancies in billing or payment records.

Familiarity with billing functions and standard receivables procedures in a business setting.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate documentation.
