Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Grand Prairie, Texas on a Contract basis. This position focuses on invoicing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and customer account support while helping maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate brings prior experience in accounts receivable or billing, works comfortably with accounting systems, and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute customer invoices each day, including any necessary credits, adjustments, and related billing updates.

• Record incoming payments from multiple sources and apply them accurately to customer accounts within the accounting system.

• Balance daily cash activity by reconciling deposits and researching payment discrepancies such as shortages or unapplied amounts.

• Partner with sales and customer support teams to investigate billing issues, pricing concerns, and account disputes.

• Respond to customer and distributor inquiries regarding statements, outstanding balances, and account activity.

• Maintain organized account documentation, including credit records, tax-exempt forms, and lien waiver files.

• Assist with month-end activities by preparing receivable reconciliations and reviewing aging information for accuracy.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Practical experience using an ERP platform or accounting software.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to sort data, apply filters, and work with common spreadsheet functions.

• Ability to learn new processes quickly and perform effectively with limited supervision.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.

• Clear communication skills for working with customers and internal teams.
