About the Role The Workers’ Compensation Accounts Payable Officer manages AP processes for workers' compensation claims, ensuring accurate and timely payments, maintaining records, and collaborating with various departments to support financial operations. What You'll Do
- Review and process invoices related to workers' compensation claims.
- Ensure timely payment to medical providers, legal representatives, and other related entities.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and payments; prepare and reconcile monthly accounts payable reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations; assist in the audit process by providing necessary documentation.
- Liaise with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment discrepancies and enquiries.
- Utilise claims management software to enter, track, and report on accounts payable activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency. What We're Looking For
- Education: High school certificate or above.
- Experience: Experience in accounts payable in a workers' compensation or insurance environment is desirable but not mandatory.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy; excellent organisational and time management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using claims management systems.
