Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position will partner closely with accounting leadership and play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting functions. While the title is AP Clerk, this role extends beyond traditional accounts payable responsibilities and provides exposure to broader accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and analyze accounts payable transactions

• Assist with month-end close activities

• Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and reconciliations

• Support financial reporting and general ledger activities

• Research and resolve discrepancies

• Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures

• Collaborate with accounting leadership on special projects and process improvements

• Assist with audit preparation and documentation as needed

Qualifications

• Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including debits and credits

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Preferred

• Nonprofit accounting experience

• Experience working with grants

• Experience with Sage Intacct

• Advanced Excel skills
