Job title: Accounting Methodology / IFRS Specialist

About the Role The Accounting Methodology division is Belfius Group’s central contact for all activities within financial reporting, ensuring proper treatment of activities in financial reporting and possessing deep knowledge of IFRS and other regulations. The role focuses on IFRS and regulatory reporting for international operations, providing solution-oriented guidance and supporting the correct treatment of products and transactions.

What You'll Do

• Stay up-to-date with IFRS and other major regulations affecting Belfius Group reporting.
• Actively participate in the approval process when launching new products and/or financial transactions.
• Develop schemas when launching new products or introducing new IFRS standards (new or adapted).
• Issue relevant and precise opinions on the treatment of financial products and/or transactions.
• Organize trainings related to IFRS topics.

What We're Looking For

• University degree in economics or equivalent experience with an economic or financial orientation.
• A few years of experience in an international audit firm is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of IFRS with a willingness to deepen.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good knowledge of English, Dutch and French.
• Enthusiasm, ambition and determination; creativity and solution orientation.
• Team spirit, flexibility and ability to work autonomously.

Nice to Have

• Experience in an international audit firm is an advantage.
