Job title: Accounting Manager
About the Role The Accounting Manager will oversee Uline’s accounting operations in Pleasant Prairie, WI. This leadership role ensures accurate financial reporting, maintains internal controls, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead the month-end close and financial reporting process for the organization.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets.
- Prepare, review, and present financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control policies; implement process improvements.
- Supervise and develop accounting staff; mentor team members.
- Partner with operations and procurement to analyze costs, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support audits (internal and external) and tax compliance activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CMA preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior leadership/managerial experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and close processes.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
- Cost accounting or manufacturing/logistics industry experience.
- Experience with data analytics or process automation tools.
- Experience with international operations or multi-currency consolidation.
