Job title: Accounting Manager (Turkish Market)
About the Role Accounting Manager (Turkish Market) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing a defined accounting area, with a strong focus on review, approval, compliance, and audit readiness. The role ensures that accounting outputs prepared by the accounting team are accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with group accounting policies, internal controls, and local statutory requirements. The position acts as a key coordination and control point between accounting operations, local management, auditors, and tax partners. The role is based in Budapest, Hungary (hybrid role). What You'll Do
- Supervise the month end, quarter end and year end closing under US GAAP following financial standards and procedures of IFF.
- Be responsible of US GAAP reporting following IFF corporate requests.
- Be responsible of the statutory reporting and lead the annual statutory audit activities including reconciliation between US GAAP and local GAAP.
- Review with Corporate Tax on the local tax filing & declarations including corporate Income tax, VAT and all other applicable local tax.
- Coordinate and supervise the internal and external audit requests
- Support the tax team on the tax audits and support the country management on various government inspections.
- Be the contact for insurance matters and contracts.
- Be the partner of the country manager and country leadership team and provide the necessary support for finance and accounting matters.
What We're Looking For
- Strong computer/systems capability
- Proficiency in US GAAP and local GAAP / statutory / regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of local taxation is a plus
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Consciousness of control and business ethics environment
- Drive for results, Problem solving, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility
- Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree
- Experience: 5 + years finance / accounting leadership experience ideally in a similar role
- Certified Public Accountant, ACCA is a plus
- Accounting & audit firm experience
