We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager in the greter New Haven area to support core accounting operations for a Contract position. This role is ideal for someone who can manage critical close activities, maintain financial records, and help follow/improve our client’s accounting processes. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach to reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger oversight.
Responsibilities
- Lead key activities tied to the monthly close cycle
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate support
- Review and maintain general ledger accounts
- Perform detailed account reconciliations
- Analyze financial records to identify variances
- Partner with internal stakeholders to gather information needed for close processes and balance sheet reviews.
Qualifications include:
- Demonstrated experience performing/overseeing month-end close
- Experience creating financial reports
- Ability to analyze budget-to-actual results and contribute to forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
