Job title: Accounting Manager
About the Role As Accounting Manager at GRAMMER, you will lead financial closing, reporting and accounting operations in alignment with legal requirements and Grammer group policies. You will guide the accounting team, ensure IFRS/HGB compliance, and partner with tax, banking, and auditors to drive accurate and timely reporting.
What You'll Do
- Implementing fiscal closing activities and reporting systems according to legal and Grammer group requirements in coordination with the Grammer tax department (e.g. tax returns, returns for tax on sales and purchases)
- Organizing and implementing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including evaluations according to legal and group requirements
- Implementing accounting projects, carrying out automation optimizations, developing guidelines and process requirements
- Accounting according to accounting policies (IFRS/HGB, etc.)
- Ensuring correct procedures of day-to-day processes (e.g. bank transactions, accounting matters)
- Carrying out analyses in accounting (e.g. aging lists of debtors)
- Responsible for fixed asset accounting
- Responsible for subsidiary ledgers: payables/receivables
- Accounting IC participations with Grammer companies, securing IC coordination
- Commercial contact for inventory and tax matters
- Contact person for banks, tax consultants, tax office, and auditors
- Internal reporting (monthly reports) and external reporting
- Developing and handling complex accounting topics (e.g. loans, capital increase), providing decision recommendations and scenario depictions for management
- Functional and disciplinary leadership of the department
- Setting and controlling department objectives and projects
- Motivating, supporting, developing colleagues and distributing tasks
What We're Looking For
- Graduated from relevant university departments
- Fluent English
- SAP FI; SAP CO module experience
- At least 5 years in management roles in a global company environment
- Intensive knowledge in Accounting (IFRS, KGK, tax, etc.), Tax (customs, inward processing, investment incentive, etc.), Finance (short–long term cash planning, bank relations, etc.), and Legal
- Analytical skills
- Business and production processes know-how
- Implementation of audits and controlling of business processes
- Familiar with Accounting & Controlling Tools
- Advanced use of MS Office programs
