As an Accountant at VNA Health Group, you’ll support the general accounting needs of VNA Health Group and its subsidiaries and partner joint ventures. From reconciliations and financial reporting to month-end close and audits, you’ll help ensure our financial information is accurate, organized, and accessible.

What You’ll Do

• Keep Things Balanced: Perform bank reconciliations and analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Support Financial Reporting: Prepare payroll trend reports, monthly cost center allocation journal entries, financial reports, and statistics.
• Own the Details: Prepare expense accruals while ensuring appropriate account coding and period postings.
• Support the Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist with Audits: Provide support during external audits.
• Be a Resource: Handle general accounting responsibilities and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking for in You:

• We’re looking for someone with a strong accounting background who is analytical, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• 3–5 years of accounting experience required

• 2 years of public accounting experience with a small to medium-sized firm preferred

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

• Strong work ethic

• Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors/outdoors, driving, lifting, sitting, standing, walking, fine motor hand movement, use of phone and tablet for documentation

• In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the compensation range for this position is USD $62,000 to USD $82,000. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions.
