Job title: Accountant - Research Survey (ONET Occupation Study)
About the Role Mercor is conducting a one-time online survey/interview with U.S.-based accountants as part of updating ONET, the U.S. government's framework for describing occupations. This independent contractor engagement is fully remote, with pay set at $39/hour for the initial ~30-minute task and potential for additional paid follow-ups.
What You'll Do
- Complete a one-time online survey/interview about your day-to-day work as an accountant (SOC 13-2011). It takes up to 30 minutes.
- There may be an optional follow-up survey, task, or short interview afterward, paid separately.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience working specifically as an accountant (SOC 13-2011) and U.S.-based.
- Currently employed as an accountant, or employed in the role recently — we are not looking for people who left the profession many years ago. You must have actually held an accountant role.
- You will be engaged as an independent contractor for a fully remote task.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay is $39/hour for the initial task (approximately 30 minutes) with potential for additional paid tasks later.
- Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.
- This is an independent contractor, fully remote engagement.
