We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Objective
- We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented, and commercially aware Accountant to manage the company's financial operations.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, payroll, tax compliance, client invoicing, project cost tracking, and financial reporting to management.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor payments, staff expense claims, and client invoicing.

Process payroll and ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions, including PAYE, Pension, NSITF, and NHF.

Manage tax compliance, including CIT, VAT, and WHT filings, while ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.

Track project costs against budgets, prepare job cost reports, and highlight variances for management review.

Perform bank reconciliations, manage petty cash and cash flow, maintain financial controls and documentation, and support budgeting, audits, and financial planning.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, or a relevant professional qualification.

Minimum of 2–4 years' relevant accounting experience.

Experience in engineering, construction, oil & gas, or similar project-based organisations is an added advantage.

Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or similar, with strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Good knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.

Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

High level of accuracy, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and meet reporting deadlines.
