Job title: Accountant (m/w/d)
About the Role As Accountant (m/w/d) at the production site in Bünde you take responsibility for proper financial accounting and work closely with Controlling, Purchasing, Shared Services and the operating units to ensure transparency and effective steering of the company.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for ongoing financial accounting (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and asset accounting).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB; support IFRS reporting.
- Ensure compliance with group-wide accounting policies and internal controls; perform account reconciliations; analyze and resolve balance sheet items.
- Support budget, forecast and closing processes; create cost analyses and ad-hoc analyses.
- Assist in audits (internal, external, annual financial statements) and provide relevant documents for auditors and stakeholders; contribute to internal control system improvements.
- Manage cash and working capital: oversee receivables management, dunning, and weekly cash review; analyze and clean open payables; support cash flow and net working capital improvements.
- Partner with Controlling, Purchasing, Shared Services and operational teams; support site management with financial questions and special analyses; contribute to process optimization and ERP/SAP workflows; participate in digitization projects.
What We're Looking For
- Successfully completed degree in Business Administration with focus on accounting/finance or comparable commercial training with continuing qualification.
- Several years of experience in accounting in a manufacturing/industrial company.
- Solid knowledge of HGB accounting; IFRS knowledge is advantageous.
- Proficient in SAP FI and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Analytical, structured, independent working style; high initiative, reliability and quality awareness.
- Team-oriented with strong communication; good German and English communication skills.
