Job Summary
Process Month-end duties including preparation and completion of Journal Entries and Financial Reports. Support Year-end Audit by creating and updating schedules to support our financial results. Perform Account Reconciliations that substantiate the values on the Balance Sheet. Ensure processes produce correct GAAP accounting and have sufficient documentation for both the procedure and the purpose.
Job Description We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our Controllership team. The role will primarily support LATAM entities and will be responsible for key accounting and financial close activities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Month-End Close process, including preparation and review of Balance Sheet Reconciliations in BlackLine, P&L and Balance Sheet Flux Analysis, and timely resolution of reconciling items and accounting variances. The role will also involve lease accounting and reconciliation activities, along with supporting the Capex process and related financial reporting. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional and onshore stakeholders to ensure accounting activities are completed in accordance with established processes, controls, and reporting timelines.
Responsibilities
- Account Reconciliations & Controls: BS Reconciliations, open item follow-up, IPE and SOX compliance.
- Month-End: ME Close task, Recurring journal entries, Ad-hoc journal entries
- Financial Statements & Reporting: Preparation of financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, Ratio Dashboard, BS Dashboard, Capex report, Segment reporting.
- Accounting Operations & Stakeholder Support: Stakeholder coordination, accounting queries and ad-hoc activities.
- Intercompany Accounting: IC reconciliations and open item follow-up.
- Process Improvement & Team Support: Process improvement, automation, documentation and team support.
- Audit Support: Support in statutory and internal audit Queries.
- Ad-hoc work and support in projects.
Requirements
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–3 years of experience in Controllership processes.
- Proficiency in SAP, S/4HANA, and MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.
- Expertise in establishing and maintaining robust internal controls across major accounting processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
