Accountant

About the Role As the Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Team (Director of Finance and Accounting Specialist) to maintain organizational internal controls, accounting policies and procedures, statutory financial requirements and best practices, and to advance the agency's mission, vision and values. You will be a fully contributing member of the Finance Team and will help provide data and analysis, along with recommendations, to ensure the ability to accurately report on the financial status of the agency and provide insights into future operational and financial decisions. You will also serve as an accessible, in-person resource for staff across the organization, providing support, guidance, and problem solving related to finance processes, reimbursements, purchasing, and other finance-related questions. What You'll Do

• Manage all departmental functions, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, general invoicing and dues billing, collections, banking, cash reconciliations, and cash management.
• Provide data and analysis, along with recommendations, to ensure accurate financial reporting and insights into future operations.
• Serve as an accessible in-person resource for staff across the organization, offering support, guidance, and problem solving related to finance processes, reimbursements, purchasing, and other finance-related questions. What We're Looking For
