About the Role The Accountant at Lamar Institute of Technology is a professional role under the Executive Director of Student Business Services, focused on capital and property accounting with attention to higher education policies. The position combines technical accounting work with administrative responsibilities to ensure accurate financial reporting and asset stewardship across campus. What You'll Do
- Reconcile various accounts.
- Maintain Capital Assets in Banner Fixed Assets.
- Perform all property management duties such as tagging and safeguarding assets.
- Perform data entry of inventory items and reconcile inventory systems with ledger for capital and equipment purchases.
- Perform annual physical inventory for the campus.
- Stay apprised of all GASB rules and regulations.
- Report Unclaimed Liabilities.
